Columbus North senior Ali Patberg has been chosen 2014-15 National Player of the Year in girls basketball by MaxPreps.

A 5-10 guard, Patberg averaged team highs of 25.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 3.1 steals in leading the Bull Dogs to a 28-1 season in 2014-15 that included the Class 4A state championship.

The Notre Dame signee helped Columbus North to a 99-9 record over her four seasons while setting school records including points in a game (44), points in a season (751), points in a career (2,026).

Patberg also set school records for assists in a game (12), assists in a season (176), assists in a career (534), steals in a game (11) and steals in a career (273).

Patberg previously was named a McDonald's All-American, a WBCA All-American and a Naismith Trophy All-American. She also has been selected to play in the Jordan Brand Classic national all-star game.

At the state level, Patberg was voted Indiana's Miss Basketball and Indiana All-Star as well as selected Gatorade Indiana Player of the Year. She also was selected a Senior "Supreme 15" all-state player by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association, first-team all-state by the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association and first-team all-state by the Associated Press.
