All-State (2018)

Senior John Sluys earned all-state honors on Saturday (Oct. 27), placing 22nd individually and leading the Columbus North boys cross country team to a sixth-place finish in the IHSAA State Finals at the LaVern Gibson Course.

Sluys traversed the 5,000-meter layout in 16 minutes, 17.1 seconds to help the CN boys to a team score of 234, while the Columbus North girls placed 20th with 447 points. The top 25 finishers in each race are considered all-state performers.
